Study conducted at Toulouse INSERM

This study is about :

• The analysis dose variation generated by the presence of air gap between patient’s skin and bolus.
• The analyse of clinically usable solution in order to minimize this phenomenon and quantify the dose variation from a classic treatment.

New product: BOLUFORMABLE ® - April 2011

We have just created a new solution, the BOLUFORMABLE ®, allowing to bind plate silicone with patches of thermoform.

This solution is for targetted for :

• centres of radiotherapy: to allow the positioning of the plates of BOLUSIL ® closer of the body of the patient, including in the striking zones (ex: head, fingers) and to reduce the air gap between the skin and the bolus.

Detailed conclusions

• Orthotics : to position some silicone in orthotics and to take avantage of silicone properties for healing, thanks to the pressotherapy.
